The aerial laser scanning (ALS) dataset, acquired in 2004, covers three plots of Counami site in French Guiana. The laser recorded last reflected pulse. Ground points data where not delivered by ALTOA.
- All data was acquired by Altoa flying a helicopter. The embarked system was composed of a scanning laser altimeter with a rotating mirror mechanism (RIEGL LMS-Q 140i-60), a GPS receiver coupled to a second GPS receiver on the ground and an inertial measurement unit to record pitch, roll and heading of the aircraft. The wave length used was 905 nm (NIR). The scanning angle was +/- 30°. The laser recorded last reflected pulse. The density of points is 4 points/m² . 2. Delivrance of the data in time, x, y, z, intensity, flight line (Counami_Area.txyzil). The "TXYZIL" files contain GPS position of laser head on the even lines of the file. Ground points data were not delivered by Altoa. 3. The data are stored in \forestview01\BDLidar\Données Lidar\Counami\Données brutes. 4. Various further processing steps were carried out.
